As the World watched in shock and in tears the events on that morning, no one was spared from the pain, least of all those who lost someone they loved.
We often forget about the plane downed by those incredible heroes who never allowed that plane to reach its target. Or perhaps we forget about the Pentagon, after all it was a military target.
But we all remember the WTC attack.
Seeing the second plane hit, knowing then this was not an accident, but a deadly attack on American soil. Our American freedoms changed that day and will never be the same again.
However through the tears and the smoke, we saw real heroes rush to help those they could. In other parts of the United States, people were finding out how they could give blood to those in need, or to send help by sunset in some other important way, to the place we now call Ground Zero.
On the follow pages you will see images of which I believe to be public domain. No money is being generated from their use on this site. Nor will it ever be. As I personally watched all the news channels for months after the attack some of these images are incredible in their own rights. The people who created them should be proud of their outstanding work.
And a footnote: A 13-year-old girl who is near and dear to me wrote the poem above in the back of a car on the way to the hotel after seeing Ground Zero. There is so much more to her story, and so many other stories to tell too. Hopefully we will share our remembrances in the hope we Humans (not just Americans) never forget, and most importantly never allow such evil to happen again.
So many people on a global scale think of the loss of that day and we are so proud of all who were there. Be strong and know some of us will never forget that and keep you all in our hearts ... as it should be.
Please feel free to forward and or print this out if you wish.
Please think of those we shall always miss.
Sincerely
Notes of Perfection
